About Ecological Images
Ecological Images is run by Darren Frost BSc (Hons) CEnv MCIEEM CBiol MRSB. Darren has a lifelong passion for natural history and many years experience as a wildlife photographer.
Darren is a professional ecologist having a professional and academic background in environmental biology and ecology, plus experience in practical nature conservation and field research.
This unique combination differentiates Ecological Images from other wildlife guides, wildlife picture libraries and agencies, and gives Darren a wealth of knowledge and experience to draw from when leading wildlife walks and taking photographs of wildlife and environmental subjects.
Photography
Darren’s work has been recognised in various photographic competitions, including winner of the Wildlife Trust Wildlife Photographer of the Year, sponsored by the BBC. The photographs of Ecological Images promote the enjoyment of natural history, encourage wildlife conservation and illustrate the diversity and splendour of our environment.
Camera equipment
Darren uses Canon equipment for his photography using a range of lenses from wide, angle, macro telephoto and super telephoto and digital media to produce his pictures.
